Pierre Girard, CRIA, Distinction Fellow, holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the Université de Montréal, and specializes in labor relations and human resources management. Mr. Girard has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. First at the City of Montreal, as a senior manager in the Human Resources Department (Assistant Director and Director of Human Resources). Then at Groupe St-Hubert, as corporate vice-president of human resources and communications, where he piloted a cultural change focused both on increasing customer satisfaction as part of a corporate recovery plan, and on a cooperative work relations philosophy. Since joining Dunton Rainville in 1996, Mr. Girard has continued to develop his consulting expertise.
Mr. Girard has carried out numerous mandates in labor relations, administrative reorganization, transition management, coaching and organizational development. These include:
- Negotiating and settling collective agreements in a variety of contexts and sectors (hotels, production companies, public services, etc.);
- Implementing change in a variety of environments;
- Coaching mandates for middle and senior managers, to develop their management skills;
- Studies on the role and mode of operation of the human resources function, as well as organizational structure, task allocation, staffing, performance appraisal and compensation mechanisms;
- Organizational climate studies, accompanied by proposals for change strategies.
- Several investigations into allegations of harassment in the workplace.
- Conducted several mediations.
Mr. Girard has always attached great importance to training managers, and has set up several training sessions for them, mainly in the areas of labour relations management, change management, conflict management and the prevention of psychological harassment.
His skills in strategic human resources and labor relations management enable him to offer your company particularly significant support in these areas.
