Dunton Rainville to Lead Family Mediation Simulation at Université de Montréal

January 22, 2025

Dunton Rainville is proud to partner with the Université de Montréal’s Family Law Committee to offer students an enriching and formative family mediation simulation experience.

In preparation for the simulation, which will take place on March 13, participants will have the unique opportunity to attend two intensive training sessions led by Marie Annik Walsh, a renowned Dunton Rainville family law lawyer and mediator, and Julie Grant, a lawyer and mediator who has been a member of the firm’s family law team for eight years. Joining them for the simulation activity will be Vanessa Langlois, lawyer and mediator, and Sarah Canta, lawyer.

The training sessions will cover mediation techniques and strategies to be adopted in family mediation, offering concrete tools for resolving complex conflicts.

Family mediation is an essential tool for resolving disputes sympathetically and effectively. This simulation represents an ideal opportunity to acquire practical skills in a collaborative and stimulating setting.

The initiative is in line with Dunton Rainville’s mission to promote excellence in family law and support the training of the next generation of lawyers.
